Amazing vintage 1930s or 1940s exquisite handmade ribbon tape lace wiggle or sheath. The lace is an intricate overlaid and perhaps woven pattern that must have been done by hand. It has an open weave to it and is very sexy. No pictures could show how incredible this fabric is - and these dresses are extremely hard to come by as it is not ribbon attached to net or fabric but layers of patterned and draped ribbon built up among itself. I think it is hand sewn as well with each stitch that holds the lace and garment together stitched by hand. There is no lining so you will have to wear a slip - nude will be best. We believe the ribbon is made of cotton - it looks a little like grosgrain as it is ribbed. We love the neckline and hourglass cut on this dress. It has a metal side zipper and looks incredible on. This is about a 4/6 and measures: bust 32/34, waist 27/28, hips 38, length 45.
