Exquisite rare vintage ostrich leather couture handbag in wonderful cocoa brown. This purse is so stylish and has spanned the test of time. It has wonderful details like the expandable width that goes from 4 to 7 inches due to the hidden hinged bottom with little clasps. The lovely gold plated accents, including the 4 tiny feet only add to its class and elegance. No maker tag except for an old sticker that says E.31248 Avest which looks like there was more to it but the other portion fell off. It probably is the model number and name, most likely Italian due to the incredible detailing and workmanship. The bag is in wonderful condition with some normal light wear and should have the ostrich leather conditioned which will remove the 2 or 3 light scuffs from storage with other purses. The biggest flaw is where the tiny hook clasps for the expandable sides have some plating loss due to someone leaving the clasps in the up (unlocked position). Pretty sure these could be re-plated via a good jeweler. A ding to the top clasp and some slight plating wear on it. The insides is beautiful camel colored suede and does have some light wear - it looks more pronounced due to the flash but in normal light does not show as in the photos.
