Three gorgeous antique custom made Italian leather book covers with heraldic design on two of them. These are really exceptional examples of a bygone era and the luxury and almost lost artistry. The tooling on all three covers is exceptional as well, with the raised areas executed expertly. The designs are incredible and the largest is of the softest leather. Only one has hard paper backed leather and it is the solid burgundy colored one with the large central lionb in a teardrop vignette. The workmanship on that one is absolutely breathtaking and could be salvaged and recycled. My idea was simply to frame the front portion and add an heirloom family photo to the middle of the back cover and frame it too. The one with the central lion is the smallest at around 12x13, the one with the shield and lion is 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 and the largest multicolored one with the diamond vignette is 12 1/4 x 15 1/2.
